Sizing and fit
What size should I order for an Ashley piercing?
Most Ashley piercings sit on a 16G (1.2mm) post, which is what all our pieces use. The part you choose is the length: 6, 8 or 10mm. 8mm is the most common choice and where we tell people to start.

What is the difference between the lengths?
6mm sits flattest and most discreet, for a fully healed piercing. 8mm is the everyday choice, comfortable and low profile. 10mm gives extra room if your piercing is still settling or you feel any pressure. When in doubt, size up rather than down.
My piercing is new. Can I wear this yet?
Fresh piercings swell, so your piercer usually starts you on a longer post. Keep the longer length in while there is any swelling, then switch to a shorter one once you are fully healed.
We do not give medical advice and we cannot tell you when you are healed. Follow the guidance of the piercer who did your Ashley, and if anything feels wrong, see them.
Material and skin
Is it real titanium, and will it react on sensitive skin?
Yes. Every piece is solid implant grade titanium (ASTM F136, Grade 23), nickel free in composition. It is the material standard professional studios trust, chosen for people who react to cheaper metals.

Will the gold colour fade?
Our gold pieces are PVD coated, a finish built to last far longer than cheap plating. If the colour ever fades through normal wear, our 2 year replacement warranty covers it and we send you a new one.
Will it rub against my teeth or gums?
Our tops sit flat with a low profile against the lip, and the flat disc back is designed to stay comfortable on the inside. Downsizing to a shorter post once healed keeps the back close and reduces contact. If you have concerns about placement, your piercer is the best person to check your anatomy.
Wearing and changing
How do I change my jewelry?
Most of our pieces are internally threaded: hold the flat disc steady behind your lip, unscrew the top counter clockwise, and screw the new one on clockwise until snug. Do not over tighten.
The Ashley Brilliant uses a threadless push pin instead: line it up, push in to secure, pull straight out to remove. Each product page tells you which system it uses.
Are the tops interchangeable between your pieces?
Within the same system, yes. Our internally threaded tops fit our internally threaded posts. The Brilliant is threadless, so it works on its own. Stick to one system if you like to swap tops around.
Shipping
How much is shipping?
Free, worldwide, on every order, with no minimum. We also cover customs and import duties, so there is nothing extra to pay when your order arrives.
How long will my order take?
Orders leave the workshop within 24 hours. Delivery takes 4 to 7 business days in the United States and 4 to 7 business days elsewhere. You get a tracking number for every order so you can follow it the whole way.
Do you ship to my country?
Yes. We ship worldwide, free, with customs covered.
How does it arrive?
Every order comes in a gift box, ready to give or to keep. You get a tracking number so you can follow it the whole way.
Returns and warranty
What is your return policy?
Within 30 days, we give a full refund on any piece that is unworn and in its unopened packaging, or on any genuine defect. For hygiene reasons we cannot accept back jewelry that has been worn or opened, which is standard for body jewelry.
What does the 2 year warranty cover?
If a piece fails through a manufacturing defect, or if the PVD gold finish loses its colour, we replace it free within 2 years. It does not cover loss, breakage, or normal wear. To claim, email us a photo at contact@ashley-piercing.com.
How do I start a return?
Email us at contact@ashley-piercing.com with your order number. We reply Monday to Saturday and walk you through it. We cover return shipping, so it costs you nothing.
